GitNexus is local-first by design: indexing, storage, and queries run on your machine or inside your network, and we never see your source code. This policy explains what little we do collect and why.

Your code

The open source GitNexus engine runs entirely on your hardware. It does not transmit your source code, file names, or graph contents to Akon Labs or to any third party. The knowledge graph it builds is stored in a .gitnexus/ folder alongside your repository, under your control.

For Enterprise deployments that are self-hosted or air-gapped, all processing stays inside your infrastructure. For the managed SaaS offering, repository access and data handling are governed by the agreement we sign with your organization.

The website

When you visit akonlabs.com we receive the standard technical information any web server receives, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this to operate and improve the site.

If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and follow up. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on standard cloud infrastructure, and links out to services such as GitHub, npm, Discord, and X. Those services have their own privacy policies, and data you share with them is governed by those policies.

Data retention and your rights

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing founders@akonlabs.com.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above. Questions about privacy or data handling can be sent to founders@akonlabs.com.
